How to Install MultiROM on Nexus 6
Method 1: Using MultiROM Manager
You need to have a rooted Nexus 6 and your Nexus 6 need to have unlocked bootloader.
Step 1: At-first you have to install the MultoROM Manager app on your Nexus 6
Step 2: Open the app and select MultiROM & Recovery on the Install/Update panel in the app. If you get ‘doesn’t have kexec-hardboot patch!” in the Kernel field then select Kernel too.
Step 3: Now, tap the Install button
Step 4: Then he selected files will be flashed in Nexus 6 and it will have the MultiROM mod installed in it.
Method 2: Install MultiROM Manually
Step 1: Download the modified TWRP Recovery & rename the file as “recovery.img” : TWRP_multirom_shamu_20150406-01.img
Step 2: Download the flashable MultiROM mod package and copy the file to the phone : multirom-20150407-v32a-shamu.zip
Step 3: Let’s download the patched kernal file (depending on the OS version ) : Link
Step 4: We need to flash the TWRP image now. We have to use Flashify app or just use the following fastboot command:
fastboot flash recovery.img
Step 5: Right after flashing the TWRP, reboot into the TWRP recovery and flash multirom-2-150407-v32a-shamu.zip using the install option in TWRP
Step 6: Flash the file patched kernel we downloaded previously in step 3
Step 7: Voila, you now have the MultiROM installed on your Nexus 6.
Now you can do awesome stuffs like:
- Multiboot any number of Android ROMs
- Restore nandroid backups as secondary ROM
- Boot from USB drive attached via OTG cable
To install or add the ROMs to MultiROM , reboot into the modded TWRP recovery, tap Advanced > MultiROM > Add ROM Option
