How to enable Reactivation lock on Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge
Samsung’s touch-wiz is boasted with many features and one of them is Re-activation lock. This awesome features is somewhat like the Apple’s Activation lock which will prevent the thieves from using your phone by simply factory resetting.
If you activate the re-activation lock then the users will be asked to re sign-in with the Samsung Account credentials to confirm their identity after the factory reset. This awesome system can prevent the thieves from stealing your phone as this will make the the phone a paperweight for the thieves. They won’t be able to do anything unless they provide the correct Samsung Account Credentials.
However, this awesome feature is disabled in Samsung Galaxu S6 or S6 Edge by default. If you are a proud owner of any of these two phones than you need to activate it by yourself.
How to enable Reactivation lock on Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge
Note: One thing that need to be mentioned early is that you need to sign up for a Samsung Account.
Step 1: Go to the Settings , then Lock Screen and Security and then Find my mobile. Now you will be prompted to Verify your Samsung account password for your fingerprint and then the sub-menu will open.
Step 2: Now toggle the reactivation lock switch at the bottom to enable the feature. In this process you will be prompted to create a password which you can easily remember and to turn off the features in case you give to service center for any kind of repair.
We are done with the process. Next time if you do factory reset in your Samsung Galaxy S6 or S6 edge you will be asked to login with your Samsung Account.
