How to Install Android 5.1 Lollipop on HTC One Max via Unofficial CyanogenMod 12.1 ROM
HTC One Max is one of the best handset produced by HTC. It has not received the Lollipop update yet. However, a reputed developer Named Flyhalf205 from XDA released a unofficial CYanogenMod 12.1 based custom ROM for HTC One Max. It’s a premium phablet by HTC and it features a unobody aluminum design with awesome hardware.
This unofficial CyanogenMod 12.1 ROM is now available for this HTC One Max. This is in its early stages of development and that’s why there are few bugs and broken features. If you are one of the HTC One Max user and want to test the lollipop android 5.1 then you should use this step-by-step guide.

Pre-requisites:
- Charge your phone atleast 80%
- Enable USB Debugging
- You have to have a rooted Htc One max
Step by Step on How to install Lollipop on HTC One Max via CyanogenMod 12.1 Onofficial ROM
Step 1: Confirm that you are using a HTC One Max handset by going to settings > Then about phone . Please do not flash this ROM on any other device at it will brick that device.
Step 2: Now, copy the CM12.1 ROM file ‘cm-12.1-20150411-UNOFFICIAL-t6.zip” anf Google Apps package gapps-5.1.x-20150404-minimal-edition-signed.zip to devices internat storage and remember that location where you saved the file.
Step 3: Install a custom recovery (TWRP,CWM,etc) on your HTC One Max.
Step 4: Now, boot into the Recovery mode via adb or hardcore buttons or use QuickBoot app
Step 5: In recovery mode, back up data on your current ROM. If you are using TWRP then select Backup & perform a Swipe to back Up from the bottom of the screen.
Step 6: Now select the WIpe and do a Swipe to Factory Reset from the bottom of the screen
Step 7: Let’s return back to the Main menu of TWRP recovery and select the install
Step 8: Now, browser to the file where you have saved the CM12 ROM zip file , select it and do a Swipe to Confirm Flash on the bottom screen. YOu will have to wait to finish the process
Step 9: Right after the ROM flashing, Do the same to Flash Google Apps Packages.
Step 10: After this return back to recovery’s Main Menu & Select Reboot > System
