Method 1:
1. At first you need to power off your HTC One A9. Then you need to hold the Power button for few seconds, or press the power Key once and then choose the “power off”
2. Right after shutting down your Htc One A9 you need to press & hold Power button along with the Volume down button
3. Now , keep pressing til the Android images are shown on the display
4. From that point, highlight the Recovery option by Pressing the Volume down and confirm it via pressing the power button
5. Now you are in recovery mode
6. Choose “wipe data reset”
7. However, if you want a full data wipe you can choose the “wipe cache partition” and “wipe dalvik cache”
8. When you are done, you can go back to the main menu of the recovery and pick “reboot system now”
Method 2:
1. We will use the recovery option in this method which allow us to do a factory reset
2. turn off your phone
3. Now press Volume Down & Power buttons till the android images are being displayed
4. Press volume down button until you navigate to the Factory reset option
5. Now press power key to confirm
6. Factory reset on Htc One A9 will start

In this method we will use the default system of your Htc One A9
1. Open your HTC A9
2. Go to menu and then head over to settings
3. Choose Backup & Reset
4. Scroll down and you will see an option of Reset Phone option
5. You need to choose Erase all data
