How to Unlock Huawei P8 Bootloader
Huawei P8 is an awesome android handset with a powerful spec. The beauty of android is that you can do many awesome things with android. In order to get the best out of android you need to root your device, or install custom ROMs, install kernels and this is why you need to unlock your bootloader first.
In order to unlock the bootloader of Huawei P8 you need to follow the steps below:
Important Notes:
This guide is only for Huawei P8. Doing this on other variants of the phone might brick that device
This tutorial is performe on Windows only. If you know the process of fastboot on Mac or Linux then you can do this at that device
Take a backup of all the important data of your phone
Your warrant will void
Download Huawei P8 Driver
Prerequisites:
- USB cable to connect your android with computer
- Huawei P8
- Android SDK with drivers
Step 1:
At first you have to send an email to Huawer to get the specific unlock code for your Huawei P8. You need to provide your Huaweri P8’s Serial Number, IMEI & Product ID.
How to find IMEI: Settings> About Phone > Status

How to Find Product ID: Press *#*#1357946#*#* in the dialer to see the Product ID

Step 2: After getting the reply from the Huawei , download proper Android SDK/Fastboot and install the usb drivers on your computer
Step 3: Enable the USB Debuggin on your Huawei P8
Step 4: If you have the Android SDK , you don’t need to download it again but you can download Fastboot and extract it in android-sdk-windows\platform-tools directory. Just create directory if not already there
Step 5: Take the proper backup of all the important data. Now switch off your Huawei P8
Step 6: Let’s enter Bootloader / Fastboot Mode on your Huawei P8. Now press the Volume UP+ Volume Down+ Power keys for few seconds and you will see a text on the display. It’s the Bootloader Mode which allows Fastboot to communicate with your phone.
Step 7: Now navigate to the android-sdk-windows\platform-tools directory and open-Command Prompt (Shift+ Right Click > Open Command Prompt)
Step 8: Type in the command which are written below and press enter . Replace the “”CODE” which you got from Huaweri reply email.

Step 9: You will be prompted with on screen instructions on your phone , follow the on screen instructions on your device to confirm the bootloader unlocking and erase the data and proceed
Step 10: After that your Huawei will reboot by itself. If the reboot is not done automatically enter the code below to reboot automatically:
fastboot reboot
Now you have unlocked bootloader of Huawei successfully. Now you can root, install custom ROMs, install kernel and other stuff on your android
